Neos Smart Motion Kit

The Neos Smart Motion Sensor detects the motion of objects with a heat signature. It will alert you to events like moving people or pets, but will ignore events like falling picture frames that your Neos SmartCam would typically detect.

This product is battery powered and works via your SmartCam (and Smart Bridge). The device is a great way to discreetly extend motion coverage throughout your home/office without a need for more wires.

The Neos Smart Motion Sensor detects heat-based movement at distances up to 26 feet and a horizontal detection angle of 120°. The range can vary based on where you place it and the orientation of the device. Once fitted, the device is mouted to a magnetic base that allows you to easily adjust the orientation of the device. Upon installation of the device, the in-app setup process provides additonal information about placement of the device.

The Neos Smart Home app will display all connected devices on its dashboard (opening screen). This screen will give a live update of the current status of the device, i.e. motion / no motion detected, low battery status or if the device is offline. To test the device in real life, once installed and fitted, arm the app and walk in front of the devices line of site. You should receive a mobile app notification (if enabled in the phone settings) and the device status will change to "Motion Detected". Note: As well as arming the app, please also make sure you have notification from the device enabled in the device settings.

Your Neos Smart Motion Sensor is easily installed via your Neos SmartCam (with Smart Bridge) via the Neos Smarthome app.

Once you have installed the SmartCam, click the + button to view all other available products. Click on the Neos Smart Motion Icon to start installation. If you have not already installed the Smart Bridge provided in the packaging, the app will prompt you to do so at this point and walk you through installation.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the quick installation. Please spend some time to consider the best place to install the device prior to fitting the magnetic support to the wall. The in-app installation provides some recommendations but it is important to check the device is adequately positoned to capture motion where desired and that the device is in range of the SmartCam (via the Smart Bridge).

Once installed you may get an immediate alert as you move in front of the sensor (if the app is armed).

Any change to the Wifi will require a complete reinstall

The Neos Smart Motion Sensor is discreet and wireless so it can be placed anywhere you would like additional motion coverage within your home/property as long as it is in range of your Neos SmartCam (and Smart Bridge). Typically, users place this device in areas where they may not have been able to place their SmartCam (due to limited supply of power outlets available) or areas in which you want additional coverage i.e. monitoring a back door entrance if front door is covered. The Neos Motion Sensor is also a great solution where you wish to monitor movement without video recording.

Please note that the Neos Smart Motion Sensor uses button batteries and these should therefore be placed out of reach of children.

Once connected to the SmartCam (via the Smart Bridge) the range is up to 150 meters when placed 1.5m above ground. There are variables that can impact connectivity to your Neos Smart Motion Sensor which may restrict overall range. Once connected, the device will display the signal strenght to allow you to see how strong the connection is between the SmartCam and your device in the selected location. Note: It is important to make sure the device is in range prior to adding the support bracket to the wall.

If you cannot place your Smart Motion Sensor in your desired location due to range, you have two options to solve this issue:

1)   Move your Neos SmartCam (with Smart Bridge) closer to the desired Smart Motion Sensor location.
2)  If you have a second SmartCam (or purchase a second SmartCam), add another Smart Bridge to the device and add the Smart Motion Sensor to the second SmartCam which is located closer to the device.

The Neos Smart Contact Sensor will notify you any time something is opened or closed. The sensor comes in two parts - a small panel which contains a magnet and a larger panel which looks for the connection with the magnet and processes events to the Smart Bridge. The smaller side can be placed anywhere within 2 cm of the larger side. As soon as the smaller side moves further than 2cm, it will send an open signal notification.

Like your Neos SmartCam, the Neos Smart Contact Sensor will notify you (when the app is armed) if your sensor open or closes at anytime. The device will also include a log of all historic events.

All device notifications can be controlled within the device settings, along with viewing signal strength and monitoring battery life"
